Congratulations to the newly formed Shockwave Volleyball Club. There will be two teams, Shockwave Orange and Shockwave Blue.

Shockwave Volleyball was formed for the purpose of giving young female athletes an avenue to pursue and enhance their athletic goals in the sport of volleyball. Our club will provide sound coaching, drills emphasizing proper technique, conditioning and competitive entry into area tournaments. We will promote teamwork, self discipline, self esteem and sportsmanship.

It is very important that you always remember to check our Shockwave Team Calendar and Schedule for practices and upcoming tournaments.

Congratulations to all of the girls that are on the team. We are going to have a great season!

To all my players, moms and dads, and volunteers, thank you for your commitment to Shockwave Volleyball. I look forward to a very exciting and successful season and I will assure you that I will give every effort possible to make our club the “Best” in the area.

Players- play hard, become mentally tough and commit to the "TEAM”.

Your dedication to the sport will transform your game to the next level. Nothing comes easy, but hard work and determination will always help you overcome any obstacle that stands before you.

Tournament dates for April;

April 12th - Willowbrook Houston only 1 team, I will let the girls know Friday at practice.

April 19th - Hill Country Open, Austin, both teams

April 26th -Southwest Jr's, Richmond, both teams

Everyone played well on Saturday, hoped for better results but the effort was there. I am very proud of how the two teams, in such a short period of time, have played together. You should really be proud of your player.

HPL Texas Tornados Facility – 02 Feb. 08

Congratulations to both teams for their play in this weekend’s pool play at the Texas Tornadoes Facility. Your efforts and continued impovement made this an exciting event. Parents and friends in case you missed this one here is a quick recap.

Shockwave Orange - 3 for 3 is a incredible feat. Shockwave Orange took command and never looked back. Although all 3 oponents were very good, the girls stuck together, communicated and made a committment to win at all costs! They turned up the heat and the competition fizzled. They were led by the excellent play calling and guidance of Coach Michael. Way to go Shockwave Orange and congratulations on WINNING this round of pool play.

Shockwave Blue - Shockwave Blue took down the "giants" of the tournament. Our players didn't even flinch as they were matched up against the TALLEST team of the day for the second game. After "munching" on this team they were then victorious of a very close and "gritty" third game. The Blue team maximized their own individual strengths and transformed into a "powerhouse team"

When asked for comments, Coach Michael and Dee were all smiles. "The girls stepped up their games and played like a veteran team. Our players are growing and having alot of fun out there."

ACS # 5 – Austin, Texas – 26 Jan. 08

Congratulations to both teams for their play in this weekend’s tournament in Austin. You should be proud of your individual effort, and the improvement of your overall play as a team.

I am proud of the way you represented our Club, and it was evident we made an impression at the tournament from all the positive comments I received from other Club Director’s and parents of opposing teams.

Individually I want to encourage everyone to continue to work on all aspects of the sport and focus on technique and court awareness.

Shockwave "Break Into" Houston Power League Tournament!

Congratulations to the Shcokwave Orange and Blue Teams. If you were unable
to attend the debut of the Shockwave Club at the Houston Power League Tournament you missed a treat.

Both teams brought their "A" games and showed incredible drive and determination. Each team faced stiff competition during the first round of pool play. Shockwave Orange faced off at 9am and Shcokwave Blue faced off at 2pm. How did we do? For now we'll say that the competition is stll "buzzing" about us! Stay tuned for results and information regarding more HPL pool play later this month.
